A line of restructured handbags and footwear for the modern woman with a love of essential, storytelling pieces
Inspired by the street and gallery pieces of Evan Roth, Geso, and Krink, as well as spaces and furniture pieces by architects Frank Lloyd Wright and Arne Jacobson, this collection looks at street writing through a mid century modern lens.
The designer, Elise Glueck, treats each product as a piece of modern architecture through the patterning and making process. A talented fibers artist, Anna Whittemore, attempts, with a creative eye, to ‘graffiti’ her own designs, curated by the designer, on the surface of each product emulating that of the inspiring artists.
Through use of embroidery, beading, UV printing, digital printing, shaving, engraving and ceramics, Anna and Elise look to explore the motif of street writing through a modern eye.
